FUNCTION:

The principal mission of the Utilities Shop is to provide drinking water and fire protection water supply to both the Storrs and Depot Campuses. Water quality is monitored by the Department of Public Health. Compliance monitoring is required under Section 19-13-B102 of the Connecticut Public Health Code. UConn utilizes state of the art equipment to monitor chlorine, fluoride and phosphates in the drinking water.
